After about 6 hours on the plane and some turbulence, Dubai sad welcome to me with one of the most beautiful sunrises that I had seen since a long time. Bright Red to dark blue was the horizon on the final approach in to Dubai. The blue sky promised best weather. I not really made a plan for my two days in Dubai but should be ok.
Dubai is fascinating. Everything is one size bigger. One skyscraper after another. I visited the Burj Khalifa,it is the tallest building in the world (828 meters). The city looks tiny from the 148th floor. Dubai has only two metro connections and taxis are very expensive, thats why I walked a lot. 15 km on the first day and 26 km on the second. Dubai is a beautiful city that you should have seen. Everything looks like "1001 nights". At night, the city shines in all colors and shapes. The beach is snow white and the water is light blue. The sand is everywhere. I enjoyed the two days, at about 25 C and dry desert air, very much. The next time I plan a little more time and choose a better hotel on the beach. There is still a lot I have not done in Dubai ... I will come back!
