Dublin 2024

Weekend trip to Dublin from 29.11.-02.12.2024

We took the Early Friday flight with Lufthansa from Frankfurt to Dublin. when we arrived it was cloudy and cold. it took us some time to figure out how to get into Town. We took the Express-bus into Town to our Hotel. we left our Bags there and went out for Breakfast. Janina Had some nice vegan Breakfast and i had the Irish one. there after we walked to the City center to do a free walking tour. Friendly guy who told us a lot of the History of Dublin and Ireland. in the middle of the tour we stopped in a Pub to get a bit warm. the tour was nearly 3 hours long and we walked quit some bit. there after we walked back to the Hotel to check-in. in the Room we felt so tiered that we slept for 1 hour. the last thing we did was walking to a Pub and hat some Pizza and Beer. early night for us.

we started the day with a delicious Breakfast. Nice Avocado Bread for Janina and i had again the Irish breakfast. from here we walked around town for a bit, went shopping and ended up in the same Pub than the day before from the free walking tour. enjoyed some nice Burgers and beer. in the evening we had a look at the Christmas marked and the castle which was free and nice.

Sunday we woke up early to have Breakfast at a nice place close to the Hotel. there after we took the Tram and the Train out of town to the Coast. we did the Dublin coast-walk for about two hours with beautiful weather. at the train station was a small marked where we stopped and bought some self made cookies (awesome). train back into town and a bus to the Old Prison. we still had some time so we went into a pub had Dinner and Beer. the Prison tour was about one hour long and pretty awesome. stunning old Building. from here we called the night and went back to the Hotel.

Last day we checked out early and took the bus to the Guinness Brewery. we did a big tour trough the Brewery and even had some Guinness Beer on top of the Building with a awesome view over Dublin. from here we took a bus to the Airport and flew back to Frankfurt. we arrived back home late this evening.

it was a pretty cool weekend Trip. we really liked Dublin and enjoy it. we have been lucky with the weather even it was cold.
